Department of Veterans' Affairs

Our services to DVA members

The Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) funds the provision of Home Medical Oxygen Therapy and associated respiratory products through the Rehabilitation Appliances Program (RAP) to DVA eligible persons with a clinically assessed need. Provision of products is arranged by an appropriate health provider through DVA contracted suppliers.

BOC Homecare is dedicated to providing outstanding patient care to Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) members who require home medical oxygen therapy and associated respiratory equipment.

BOC Homecare offers homecare equipment and accessories from leading manufacturers with whom we have global relationships. These relationships enable BOC Homecare to access the latest technology and innovation in services to pass onto DVA members.

BOC Homecare is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in case of emergencies, delivering peace of mind to our patients. In metropolitan and regional areas BOC provides face-to-face training and education on all home medical oxygen equipment upon delivery.

This training covers medical oxygen safety, use of the equipment, troubleshooting and importance of complying with the referring doctor’s prescription.

BOC Homecare provides referring physicians with ongoing compliance and progress updates concerning their DVA patients while also meeting the high standards expected by the DVA and its members.

For a Department of Veterans’ Affairs referral form for the provision of Home Medical Oxygen Therapy, please complete the following DVA HMOT Referral Form and fax this to BOC Homecare on 1800 624 149 for immediate action.

BOC Healthcare also provides DVA referrers and their patients with CPAP and Bi-Level equipment and services for the treatment of sleep disorders. For more information, please see the BOC Sleepcare website.
